Drop Bags Logistics for 2012

If you have drop bags READ THIS COMPLETELY!

Please, DO NOT use trash bags for your drop-bags!  It looks like trash for disposal.

  • Shortcut Aid Station (mile 23.6) is the only 50K drop bag station available for 2012.
  • Runners must have the drop-bag labeled with the runner’s name and bib#.
  • Runners must bring the drop bag(s) to the starting line and put the drop-bag(s) in the red F150 pickup truck.
    • Shortcut Saddle is the only drop-bag option.
  • Drop-bag options after the race:
    • Drop-bags will not be mailed if the runner decides to leave before picking up their bags.
    • Shortcut Saddle Aid Station closes at 2:15 p.m. Shortcut drop bags will leave Shortcut around 2:30 p.m. and arrive at the Finish-line area around 3:30 p.m.
    • If runners finish the race before Shortcut Aid Stations closes, runners may pick-up their drop bags at Shortcut (before 2:15 p.m.).  If a runner cannot make it to Shortcut before 2:15 p.m., then the runner should wait at the Finish area until the drop-bags arrive.

Crew Access

  • Crews and family members will have access to runners at the Start/Finish, Red Box, and Shortcut aid stations only.
  • All other roads will be closed to vehicular traffic (except Event vehicles).
